Ex vacuum leak detector with simple explosion protection, for mounting outside Ex areas, for pressureless tanks for storing e.g. petrol.
TYPES:
VLXE 34 M for tanks with a suction line to the low point of the interstitial space.
VLXE 80 M for tanks with 2 separate chambers leak detection linings for diesel and petrol. The VLXE 80 M with a higher underpressure must be connected to the petrol leak protection lining to ensure that in case of a leak in the area of the chamber wall vapors are drawn in the direction of the Ex leak protection lining and not vice versa.
VLXE 330 M for tanks without a suction line to the low point of the interstitial space, up to 3 meters diameter, and a density of the stored product of <= 1 g/cm3.
VLXE 500 M and VLXE 570 M for tanks with larger diameters and/or higher densities of stored products of 1 g/cm3.
8S: with up to 8 probes
Si: service indication (adjustable 1 to 63 months)
TANKS:
- Horizontal cylindrical tanks with a maximum diameter of 3 meters
- Pressureless or with slight overpressures of a maximum of 50 mbar through gas recirculation systems at filling stations
- Underpressure resistance of interstitial space: VLX 34 M > -250 and VLXE 330 M > -700 mbar
STORED PRODUCTS:
Petrol and ethanol-containing fuels, diesel, kerosene, etc. Vapors must be heavier than air!
If the flash point of the liquid to be monitored requires explosion protection measures, the VLXE .. M can only be used on pressureless tanks.
Otherwise the VLXE .. M can also be used on tanks with up to 5 bar overpressure. The international hazardous substances law sets a limit of > 60 °C. National regulations may vary, so Germany > 55 °C.
INSTALLATION:
Outside Ex areas
HOUSING / IP RATE / TEMPERATURE RANGE:
ss-box: stainless steel box / IP 54 / -40 °C .. +60 °C
PNEUMATIC CONNECTIONS:
CF8/6: compression ferrule for copper (CU) pipe 8/6x1mm or compression ferrule ss-CF8/6 for stainless steel (ss) pipe 8/6x1mm or polyamide (PA) hose 8/6x1mm
The requirements of the respective documentation must be observed!
