Pressure leak detectors (DLR-G, DLR-GS, DLR-P, LDU22)

Pressure leak detectors (DLR-G, DLR-GS, DLR-P, LDU22)

FUNCTION:

In the interstitial space, a pressure is generated with air or nitrogen that is higher than the pressure in the inner pipe or other external pressures.

Untightnesses lead to a pressure drop that can be compensated to a small extent by integrated pumps or nitrogen backfed to ensure trouble-free operation.

Relevant leaks lead reliably to an optical and acoustic alarm.

The maximum pressure (feed pressure) in the inner pipe determines the minimum alarm pressure.

Minimum alarm pressure (bar) = 1 bar + maximum pressure (feed pressure) in the inner pipe in bar

calculation of minimum alarm pressure (excel-file).

The alarm pressure is given in bar in the type designation, e.g. DLR-G 1 or DLR-P 2.0.

The operating pressures of the leak detectors as well as the opening pressures of the overpressure valves are higher than the alarm pressures. The pipe's interstitial space must withstand these pressures.

DLR-G

Pressure leak detector for pipes with gas and permanently connected nitrogen bottle. For wall mounting.

Especially for the monitoring of pipes with conveyed goods, for which the explosion protection or conveyed goods characteristics require that inert gas is used as the leak detection medium.

DLR-GS

Pressure leak detector for pipes with gas, static, i.e. without permanent nitrogen supply. For wall mounting.

For the monitoring of pipes with large, pressure-resistant interstitial spaces with conveyed goods, for which the explosion protection or conveyed goods characteristics require that inert gas is used as the leak detection medium.

DLR-P

Pressure leak detector for pipes with pump, for liquids that can form explosive vapor-air mixtures. Only for pipes with a permeation-proof inner wall and if the occurrence of potentially explosive vapor-air-mixtures in the inner pipe does not represent any additional dangers, e.g. when entering pumps or exiting at the end of the pipe.

A typical application of the DLR-P is the monitoring of double-walled metallic pipes at filling stations, but also many other pipes for the transport of non-explosive liquids with maximum feed pressures of 3.5 bar. Leak detection medium: dried air.

DLR-P .. CV

Pressure leak detector for pipes with pump and check valve CV. For underground unpressurized plastic pipes, in which explosive vapor-air mixtures can occur in the interstitial space due to permeation and if the occurence of potentially explosive vapor-air mixtures in the inner pipe does not represent any additional dangers, e.g. when entering pumps or exiting at the end of the pipe.

A typical application of the DLR-P .. CV is the monitoring of double-walled plastic pipes at filling stations. Leak detection medium: dried air.

LDU22

Leak detection technology combined for tanks and/or pipes in a free-standing housing for outdoor installation with central pumps for tank and pipe monitoring.

Specially designed for filling stations to monitor several underground tanks and their associated pipes. Leak detection medium: dried air.

NOTES:

  • The requirements of the respective documentation must be observed!

  • Equipment that can come into contact with stored goods must be made sufficiently durable (e.g. connection lines in the manhole chamber).

  • If the inner wall of the pipe is permeable and there is the possibility of an explosive vapor-air mixture forming in the interstitial space, observe additional explosion protection! For example, by using the leak detectors DLR-G or DLR-P .. CV.
